success of the DONIC contract players in 2016
First of all,
we have to mention Dimitrij Ovtcharov here again.
Due to his win at the
Europe Top 16 in Lisbon (February 2016),
he got directly qualified for the Men's World Cup 2016 in Saarbruecken/Germany.
At the WTTC
2016 in Kuala Lumpur two young DONIC players caused international attraction.
Walker (21 years old)
made with his wins a significant contribution to winning the bronze medal with
the team at the World Championships. Just two weeks ago Samuel also became vice
English Champion in Men's singles.
At the age of
only 21 years, Jakub Dyjas also attracted attention at the World
Championships by winning over some well-known players which were far ahead of
him in the ranking list and thus could impressively present himself as the new
leading player of the Polish national team.
At the German
Championships Patrick Baum remained unbeaten and took the title of
German Champion in men's singles for the first time in his career.
